$200 Reward For Missing Yorkshire Terrier

This is the second time I have come across a case of a pet being stolen in broad daylight. Here's the story:
Help! Wookie, a male an/black Yorkshire Terrier was stolen on 18th Oct 2011 by 2 people in a light grey car at Jalan Mulia, Macpherson Garden Estate. Wookie weighs about 4kg. He has a bump on his forehead and is wearing a blue collar with our old UK details on it. He is micro chipped.
If you have any info on Wookie, please contact owner Paul. Reward of $200 for safe return.
Photos and details at http://missing.sg/wookie
Please help to pass the word around. Maybe in future, if we can embed a pet with a GPS so we can track their whereabout. Anyone happens to have a list of emails of all the pets shops in Singapore. I would love to alert the shops in case the thief try to sell it to the shops.

Singapore's Fountain of Wealth by Night
The world's largest fountain.
The lights are just amazing.
Take a look around.
How to go there:
Alight at Promenade MRT (Circle Line and just walk across)
From Cityhall MRT, walk through City link mall and exit through any Suntec tower.
Free admission.
One Day at The East Coast Park Singapore
Today's featured place is one of my fave hangouts in Singapore.
The East Coast Park.
Sorry for the low quality of the vid as I'm only using my iPhone 3gs.
I've listed few alternatives on how to go there: If you know where way around which isn't included here, please feel free to comment. Thank you and enjoy East Coast Park Singapore!
If it's a weekend, I'll advise you to take 158 from Serangoon Interchange to Fort Road, then change to 401. It's the only service going straight to East Coast Park.
Otherwise, take 135 from Serangoon Ave 2, alight at Amber Road, then cross over the road and walk to Chinese Swimming club, cross the underpass and there you are. This is the shortest distance you need to walk if you take any other bus.
From Serangoon Interchange: take 43 or 853C (available only on Sunday & PHs) @ Serangoon Central, outside Blk 206. Alight @ any bus stop along Marine Parade Road and walk from there. (The best bus stop will be @ Marine Parade Road, outside St Patrick Secondary School. Walk towards Ngee Ann Primary School behind CHIJ Katong Convent after crossing the road. Walk to the carpark behind it and cross the overhead bridge to reach the Meeting Point. (43: 26 bus stops, S$1.40. 853C: 32 bus stops, S$1.50).
From MRT Station: For Weekdays - EW7 Eunos. Exit from Exit A. Walk to Sims Avenue & take 13 to Marine Cresent, outside Blk 45 (6 bus stops, S$0.90) Walk towards Marine Terrace upwards. Walk into Carpark and walk on it till reach Blk 18. There is an underground pass nearby between blk 18 & 20. Use the underground pass and you reach east coast park at another side of the underground pass.
For Weekends & PHs - EW5 Bedok. Exit from Exit B and walk towards the bus Interchange (just beside the food centre). Take 401 to East Coast Park Service Road and ask the driver where to alight to your destination. (401 is a special service that gets you directly to east coast park).
The fares indicated are for cash fares, fares for ez-link card are slightly cheaper.

22 Puppies For Adoption in AVA Singapore
Help!! Puppies for Adoption
Please help to pass the email below around to your friends and anyone interested. These puppies need a home. Damn those smugglers. And AVA is not making things easier by slapping a 6 mth quarantine and an exorbitant fee. The most urgent case is the Golden Retriever. She will be out of quarantine in June. I do not want to think of what AVA would do if no one adopts her. I have someone who is willing to sponsor the $3200 fee for the Goldie if the person can give the doggie a home. (She already has many dogs and cannot take another one.) ___________________ From:Noorain_JUBLI@ava.gov.sg Dear Sir/Mdm, Thank you for your interest in adopting the puppies that were smuggled into Singapore. We have 22 puppies that are currently looking for homes. Details of the puppies are as follows :
1. Golden Retriever Female Date of quarantine release: 22 June 2011 Approx age at time of release: 10 months Pug (tan) (1 female, 1 male) Date of quarantine release:29 July 2011 Approx age at time of release: 7 months Shih Tzu (white & brown) (2 female, 1 male) Date of quarantine release: 29 July 2011 Approx age at time of release: 7 months Poodle (red) (3 female, 2 male) 29 July 2011 7 months British Bulldog (white & brown) (2 female, 2 male) 29 July 2011 7 months Poodle (red) (2 female, 1 male) 10 September 2011 7 months Japanese Spitz (3 female, 1 male) 10 September 2011 7 months
2 . The puppies have to undergo a 6 month quarantine to ensure that they are free from rabies. In addition, the puppies will be sterilised, microchipped and licensed before they are released from quarantine. The new owners for the puppies will be required to pay the quarantine fees which will include the costs of all vaccinations (such as puppy vaccinations and rabies vaccinations), rabies antibody titre testing, de-worming, external parasite treatment, feed and care for the 6 month quarantine period, sterilisation, microchipping and licensing. The total estimated quarantine fees is approximately $3,200 and will be billed progressively to the successful adopters during the quarantine period.
3. Members of the public who are interested in adopting the puppies are required to go through interview at AVA, during which they will be able to interact with the puppies. If you are interested in adopting any of the puppies, please send an email to
Sheikh Adra Bux, (Manager, Sembawang Animal Quarantine Station) at sheikh_adra_bux_abdul_latif_bux@ava.gov.sg ;
or ii. Dr Prabhpreet Kaur (Ag Assistant Director/Animal Quarantine Section ) at Prabhpreet_kaur@ava.gov.sg
4. Please indicate the breed and sex of puppy you would like to adopt in your email and send it to Mr Bux or Dr Kaur at the above email addresses by 23 May 2011. If you are interested in more than one breed, please rank them in order of preference. We will follow up with you on the interview appointment as soon as possible.
5. We look forward to hearing from you.

Battlestar Galactica reopens

The ride, which is the star attraction of Universal Studios Singapore, was forced to shut down just a week into the opening of the theme park.
Routine tests had detected a fault in one of the seat support structure of the ride, leaving one seat detached from its frame.
The fault was attributed to fatigue cracks detected in a welded component of the seat's support structure, the part which attaches the coaster's seat to its frame.
All welded components for the seats have since been replaced with a new machined part.

Universal Studios Singapore said it took nine months to fully complete testing the ride. This involved thousands of simulated ride cycles using water dummies and coming up with a revised engineering model using computer simulation and actual onsite conditions.
From the model, engineers came up with a revised design for the ride which was then field tested.
A unit was also sent to Germany and put through an accelerated simulation where engineers simulated the entire lifespan of the equipment.
This is to ensure the revised model met the longevity requirement of the ride.

Fountain of Wealth @Suntec Singapore

The Fountain of Wealth (Chinese: θ΄’ε―δΉζ³) is listed by the Guinness Book of Records in 1998 as the largest fountain in the world.[1] It is located in one of Singapore's largest shopping malls, Suntec City.

During certain periods of the day, the fountain is turned off and visitors are invited to walk around a mini fountain at the centre of the fountain's base for good luck. At night, the fountain is the setting for laser performances, as well as "live" song and laser message dedications between 8pm to 9pm daily.[2] It is situated in such a way the fountain is the hub of the shopping mall.
