Singapore Flyer
The Singapore Flyer (Chinese: 新加坡摩天观景轮) is a giant observation wheel in Singapore. The final capsule was installed on 2 October 2007, the observation wheel started rotating on February 11, 2008 and it officially opened to the public on March 1, 2008. Tickets for rides on the first 3 nights were sold out for S$ 8,888 Singapore dollars (US$6,271), "an auspicious number in Chinese culture".[1]
Reaching 42 stories high, the Flyer comprises a 150-metre diameter wheel, built over a three-story terminal building, giving it a total height of 165 metres. This exceeds The Star of Nanchang by 5 metres and the London Eye by 30 metres. Each of the 28 air-conditioned capsules are capable of holding 28 passengers each, and a complete rotation of the wheel takes approximately 30 minutes.
Located on the southeast tip of the Marina Centre reclaimed land, it offers broad views of the city centre and beyond to about 45 kilometres, including the Indonesian islands of Batam and Bintan, as well as Johor, Malaysia.

Longest Detour!
This is the longest detour that I came across with.
Made my head swirl by walking thru this make-shift passageway due to ongoing constructions @Somerset MRT.
I estimated to be around on this for more than 20 minutes and thought it will never end.

F1 Racers @Singapore Chingay Parade '08
I am not so into watching F1 Races on TV but when I was able to witness it during the Chinggay Parade '08--
for a few secs just WOW! The feeling was awesome. I just hope I'd be able to watch it closer on September.
The tickets are so expensive though but who knows.

Brief Marina Bay Sands is a new type of urban place that integrates the Waterfront Promenade with a grand, multi-leveled retail arcade combining civic space, shopping, indoor and outdoor spaces endowed with city skyline views, daylight and plant life, providing an abundance and variety of activities. It is a place that is vibrant and dynamic, a place that transforms from hour to hour, from day to night, and is evocative of the great urban places. It is here that the imaginings of a global city become a reality.
