Welcome to Gardens by the Bay, Singapore's premier nature park, and home to the spectacular Cloud Forest! In 2021, during the pandemic, we were fortunate enough to be able to visit this amazing indoor garden and experience its beauty firsthand, despite the limited 2-hour slot.
One of the things we loved most about the Cloud Forest is how relaxing it is inside. The cool mist, the soothing sound of the waterfall, and the lush greenery all around create a serene atmosphere that's perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of the city outside.
But that's not all - we also visited the Flower Dome, the world's largest glass greenhouse, and were blown away by the incredible array of plants and flowers on display. From vibrant Mediterranean gardens to colorful displays of tulips and hyacinths, the Flower Dome is a feast for the senses.

When in Singapore, you should prepare yourself from walking a lot.
Like a lot...as in long walks everyday. It may be tiring for some timers here (Like I me in few decades back)
But I tell you, it is healthy. and you will love it if you get to stay here for longer years.
So let's start your walking journey here in Singapore.
So Don Donki is a shop where you can find authentic Japanese goodies and stuff.
I've bought some Sushis, salad dressing, coffees, japanese drinks, Shabu-shabu ingredients here.
And I can say the price are worth it. Surprisingly, they have branch that opens 24hrs in case
you need last minute shopping. It's in Orchard Central.
I love it that their shops usually closes late like around 12-1am.

SINGAPORE - Today I’m hanging out with the one and only KF Seetoh, a legend of Singapore street food and hawker culture. We’re going to take you on a born and bred food tour of Singapore - dishes that were invented right here in Singapore.
Here are all the places we ate at in this Singapore food tour:
Bak Kee Teochew Satay Bee Hoon (https://goo.gl/maps/Cn3hg4Dp89PpVXLW8) - First we headed to Bukit Merah, also known as Red Hill. It’s a huge neighborhood complex, market and hawker center. There’s a massive selection of food to choose from, but KF Seetoh took me first to eat satay bee hoon, or thin angel hair vermicelli covered in seafood and pork, and a ladle of creamy peanut sauce.
Hong Seng Curry Rice (https://goo.gl/maps/Tg4ni8cCrVHrBWz67) - Within the same Red Hill hawker centre you’ll find Hong Seng Curry Rice, where you can enjoy another popular Singapore street food - Hainanese curry rice.
Geylang Lorong 29 Hokkien Mee (https://goo.gl/maps/w8TWfRXN7XpqPhwWA) - Continuing on this food tour we drove over to Geylang to eat one of the best versions of Hokkien fried prawn mee, a stir fried noodle dish that’s one of the most beloved in Singapore. They make it by the batch and we had the chance to see the entire process of how it’s made. Delicious!
The Original Vadai (https://goo.gl/maps/TtSg9iY3cbHgPd9r5) - Next up over to Joo Chiat to eat at the Original Vadai - a Sri Lankan origin - yet transformed in Singapore to be more light and fluffy, totally different texture and flavor. They are so addictive and one of the best things about them is that you bite a green chili and then follow it with bites of the prawn vadai.
Sha Zah Confectionery (https://goo.gl/maps/fRaA3vQ4taggjDvJ8) - Finally to complete this food tour with KF Seetoh we headed over to Sha Zah Confectionery for their giant curry puffs. A perfect way to end this delicious Singapore street food tour!

The Economy of Singapore’s GDP per capita grew over 125 times since independence, to become a high income nation.
Rarely in the history of humanity has a nation travelled the path from poverty to riches so quickly or completely.
But how did Singapore do it? What are the secrets to Singapore’s success?
To understand the economy of Singapore, we must briefly look at its history. Singapore got its start in life as a venture of the British East India Company in the early 18th century, due to its strategic location between India, China and South East Asia. By the late 1800s it had been fully incorporated as a crown colony of the British Empire, becoming an important naval base in the far east. The stability and infrastructure provided made the island an attractive option for migrants, with the island’s population growing rapidly.
